I did the sketching, lineart and color all in Paint tool SAI.

Doesn't the Sims 3 have an insane personality trait? You could give her that if you haven't already, although it may be a bit too much considering how Rin's personality actually is.. Emi looks real strange, but overall, it's pretty well done! Planning on making the rest of the cast? I'm hoping to see Miki in there. This reminds me how many hours I wasted playing the first Sims.... wow, I can't remember how many people I brought over only to build walls around them and wait for ...

I was very hesitant about making Rin, seeing how she would inevitably have arms. Aside from that, I think she looks alright. Emi at least has socks to cover it up most of the time.

I like the new sprite. I think she looks a lot cuter than the old one, actually. She's a lot less stiff and actually looks bouncy and energetic like she actually is. The eyes look a lot more soulful, too.

I actually finished coloring something today, with an actual background. Not sure why they're prancing around in the fog.
But yeah. Cartoons.

Not sure if I like the style or not frankly, but I felt I should let you know that Emi's prosthetic legs don't go above her knees, from what I recall seeing in the scene where Hisao first meets her in the running-in-the-hallway incident. She's pretty clearly shown with organic knees there. Ah, Than...

I remember watching a documentary some time back about a little boy who had super-sensitive skin. He'd get welts just from doing stuff normal little kids do every day, and his skin would peel incessantly. So yeah, I think there's a condition like what you described, but I'll be darned if I can remem...
