Re: StilesLong's One-shots - SX The Secret Santa

The Secret Santa SX submission for sgtpepper. Shizune, Misha, and Hisao go Christmas shopping. Misha wants Hisao to help her find something for Shizune, Shizune wants Hisao to help her find something for Misha, and Hisao doesn't want either of them to know he's helping the other. Hilarity ensues. I...

Re: StilesLong's One-shots - From a quiet place

"I also suggested that he think a little more about h-his future." To be honest that - just like Lilly - I have no idea why this should set off Hanako in that way. It makes me think that in this continuity there must have been some events we don't know about... My thought process was that...

From a quiet place

Lilly shut her door behind her, closing off the sound of her talking clock announcing ten o’clock. She had to force herself not to rush, to pause before knocking on her hallmate’s door. Inside, there was a stumbling crash, a rush of feet, then the door swung open. “Oh! S-sorry, Lilly! I was r-ready ...

Yamaku Academy Random Writing Challenge

At the Yamaku Academy discord server, I run a regularly occurring KS writing contest/challenge (more of the latter than the former). Each contestant is assigned a randomly-generated prompt (Thanks, SGTPepper!) that has at its core a list of pairings of KS characters. One pairing of characters must b...

Re: Destination: Yokohama [9S-OC]

Part Three: Physio and paintings After class a couple days later, Atsuko wheels herself out of the girl’s dorms, a toque pulled tight over her thinning black hair. She’s on her way to the Auxiliary Building, which in her present condition means an annoying and lengthy detour around the front of the...

Re: Destination: Yokohama [9S-OC]

Part 2: Preparation Contrary to the advice she gave Morihiro, Atsuko doesn’t go to her room when she gets back to the dorms. Instead, she wheels past her own door and up to her hallmate’s. “You’re early!” is the only answer that Atsuko gets to her knock. Moments later, she hears the familiar sound ...

Yeah, that was barely worth the electrons expended in its composition.

No violations this time, but still a sterling example of why the "no requesting" sticky exists, really.
Aw, jeez. Completely forgot about the rules. Sorry, Cook.

"Commission" for Scratchminus

I'll pay someone in love and affection for a fic of Emi calling me a nerd and having lunch on a rooftop I don't think I'm getting paid for this one but here you are, Scratchy! "Hey Scratchy," Emi calls as she walks toward him in the deserted hallway. "What's up, Emi?" Scratchy s...

Re: Destination: Yokohama [9S-OC]

The honorific thing came about because I can't say I know enough about them to not mess it up.

I hope you've enjoyed it so far. I'll try to get our characters to Yokohama at some point in the near future.

Re: Secret Santa 2018 - Story collection

I feel terrible replying WEEKS after poor Bricky posted but here we are. You must have been aware of my own dislike for Hisao because you beat the shit out of the poor guy. Having said that, it was entirely appropriate. Nothing felt out of place and I think it all fit with his own complacency. I'm a...

Evening (Shizune one-shot)

Inspired by this image . “It’s my favourite customer again!” The girl saw Sachihiro’s lips move, struggled to read their words but smiled anyways at the kind, familiar face. She produced a notebook from her school bag, wrote something down, then carried it to him. Sachihiro shook his head and repeat...

Re: 8S-Lights Out for Craftyatom

Misako’s hand seemed smaller and bonier today, though she still clung to mine as tightly as she could as I led her out of the Oncology wing on the eighth floor. “R-ready to go back to y-your room?” The pom-pom on her toque bobbling more violently than the tiny up-and-down motion of her bald head cal...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20180924 Sherlock Hisao)

This fic was interesting, in a way. I got the impression that there was a lot more happening behind the scenes that we never learn anything more about. The author clearly had a backstory to Iwanako and Hisao that comes up long enough to intrigue the reader, then abruptly disappears, never to be ment...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20180305 'Madam Lillian's Specialty Service')

I had to stop reading part of the way through: partially due to length, but mostly because I'm not a huge fan of these sorts of fics. However, it was hard not to notice that the writing was crisp and clear and the pacing good. The fic was well carried-off, for what it was, though it was certainly qu...
