Re: Miki: Fragments (Ch.13 Posted 28th April 2015)
This story is quickly becoming one of my favorite new stories on the board. It's also pretty humbling how much your writing has improved since you started. With the difference between this latest chapter and the first one, if I didn't know better I'd think they were by different people. The writing ...

Re: Freaks and Friends
Nothing insightful to say about this. Its a fun read and I am looking forward to reading more. Your character interactions make up for the slow pace in my book. I do think you missed an opportunity by not having Hitomi's accident involve a Red Ryder air rifle.

Just read this and really impressed with how well you nailed the noir. Sad that we'll never find out what noir Rin is up to.TheHivemind wrote:I think I had a part five half-written somewhere, but alas! That laptop was stolen.
Oh well, guess I'll just have to go rewatch Brick to get my fill of high school noir.

On the other hand, why the hell was Hanako involved in the feminist conspiracy? Was that the feminist conspiracy? Is Emi in on it too? Is Lilly? Was Misha actually trying to sneak a peek through Shizune's window while she was undressing and Hanako is helping because she's a closet perv and bisexual...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Meeting 18/19 Apr 2015 onwards)
First thought after finishing was "Damn Emi, won't even let a guy die peacefully in his sleep?" I actually found the end of this story depressing. He wakes up with a new outlook on life, but the reality is that he's still a 100 year old man with all the health concerns that entails. I can ...

I work with code way too much apparently. My first assumption was this referred to the programming language and I was ridiculously confused. TL;DR: I'm an idiot.brythain wrote: (Yeah, I'm a Pythonista too!)
Thanks for reading and glad you enjoyed it.

And Now For Something Completely Different...
Inspired by my own bouts of insomnia, I came up with this while jogging. Without further ado, I present the following from the depths of my sleep and oxygen deprived mind: Apologies in advance ------------------ Rolling onto my side, I glance at my alarm clock. The red numbers glow dimly, mocking my...

Re: Developments (Post-Lilly Neutral End) - Ch.58 posted 4/1
Yay, an update! Just realized that I missed posting on this thread in my initial flurry of posts. I've really enjoyed the story, although I was at first incredibly skeptical of the love triangle. You managed to pull it off really well though and it looks like everybody will get a happy ending (for v...

Yay for having an unreliable narrator and an incredibly meta story premise - Katawaception. You nailed the genki girl persona for the first half, but I don't know if I could handle much more of it.

Re: Lost in Translation - A Shizune Prequel
Am I allowed to post on this? I feel like I missed the "Epic Level Authors & Above" restriction somewhere. I'm certainly not epic... I was originally going to say "Epic Level Authors & Above... and Blank Mage," but belittling an author on their own thread on my first day...

Am I allowed to post on this? I feel like I missed the "Epic Level Authors & Above" restriction somewhere. I'm really excited for this story, not only because your avatar is Okarin denoting that you are both a gentleman and a scholar. Shizune was my favorite girl from KS, and I love th...

Re: Kagami Pseudo-Route [Updated 4/1]
I've been voraciously reading stories on this board that last few weeks, and I tried to save the long unfinished works for last as I suck at being patient. I am really glad I started reading this though as I think Kagami is both unique and fascinating. I was skeptical at first when you revealed that...

Re: Tomorrow's Doom ~ Up: 04/02/14 ~ Reactivated
I just wanted to say this story is literally (definition: not literally) killing me, because I glanced at the table of contents, noticed an Act 4 and assumed it was completed. It was with a dawning sense of horror that I realized that Scene 44 was not the penultimate chapter and that there was still...

Re: Iwanako: Mean Time to Breakdown {updated 2015-4-1}
I just recently discovered how high quality the writing on this board is and I've been devouring the stories here over the last few weeks. It was a cruel realization that for some of my favorite stories I now have to wait for updates like the rest of the plebes. :( That said, this is one of the stor...

Re: Akira Pseudo-Route [Complete!]
I almost didn't end up reading this because I had so much difficulty getting through Act 2. I didn't mind the random encounters, but the scene where Akira complained to Hisao about her relationship trouble completely pulled me out of the story. I cannot see a confident grown woman confiding to a hig...
