Well that would require you to actually make the environments, characters, animation would be needed etc to avoid it feeling like you're stuck in time. Then you'd probably need to do voices because text in VR would just be weird. At that point it's not really a VN anymore, it's a walking simulator ...

Kenji has aspirations toward politics but nobody takes him seriously. His dormitory fort is officially titled "Manistan". Manistan issues its own currency which Kenji often hands out during school events like festivals and assemblies. Most of Yamaku's students who accept it at all use said currency ...

Even without this particular forum, something tells me the same people would make contact again eventually, in some odd place or another like DeviantArt.
