Re: Student Council Sessions: Love and War

I wasn't sure from the tone at first whether this was supposed to be taken seriously nor not. I think it comes off a bit to dry for parody, but too out of character for anything serious. I wouldn't even have thought to take this serious... Also, I'd suggest using the line about the dark haired trac...

Interesting. I wasn't sure from the tone at first whether this was supposed to be taken seriously nor not. I think it comes off a bit to dry for parody, but too out of character for anything serious. Also, I'd suggest using the line about the dark haired track girl to the very end. It seems to be t...

Re: Student Council Sessions: Love and War

Finally, I love your Rin . Nice work! Hey, thanks for your feedback! I'm surprised you were able to find so many grammar/sentence structuring issues.. but I suppose it's just more to look out for in the future fics ;D Also, I'm happy you liked my Rin! She's my favorite character (along with Lilly),...

I'd just like to preface this story before you jump into it: This is my very first fanfic of really any sort. I really hope that you guys enjoy it and please do leave any criticisms you may have. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20180128 'Constant Companion' by darrin)

Is this too much? I think it might be too much. It's certainly not bad. I could maybe give a lending hand to the banners. I used to be pretty big into photoshop, specifically with things like banners but that was... 4 or so years ago? The story this time around was good. Obviously the English was b...

Akira and Shizune (spoilers)

Theres a moment in the game where Akira asks the lineup in which they will be fishing in, and when Shizune signs the answer, Misha doesn't repeat it and yet Akira responds immediately. Is it assumed that Misha repeated it, or was it a writing fault and someone forgot to put that part in? Links to al...

Re: If you *actually have* a physical disability, what is it

Im legally blind, i think 20/400 in one eye and 20/370 in the other but my vision is able to be correct through laser surgery to be perfect or close enough that i don't need glasses. SO i don't know why you have "cant be corrected to (blah blah)" Regardless, my vision is actually getting b...

Re: If you *actually have* a physical disability, what is it

Congenital analgesia, or the simple name, congenital insensitivity to pain. Long description is that something went wrong with my brain when I was developing and the part that deals with pain and other senses doesn't function properly. This means I can't feel pain, and some of my other senses gradu...

Re: Sign Language Talk!

I'll definently try to learn basics simply to say i can! Careful, saying you know 'a bit' might result in people thinking you're fluent. (in all seriousness, though, good on you for wanting to learn; just remember it's a big commitment so you need to be serious about it if you want to get anywhere ...

Re: Sign Language Talk!

Ahh, i see where you are coming from. I'm quite interested in all this. I've honestly never met a deaf or blind person but i have seen a few in public, but this doesn't stop me from wanting to learn it. I'll definently try to learn basics simply to say i can! Thanks for all the amazing info Meta! Yo...

Re: Sign Language Talk!

I think you mean AG Bell, Allister. He might have been a bit of a dick but the foundation which bears his name is even worse. Lifeprint (as linked) is a good place to start, I started with it during my preparations for the course. If you learn the alphabet, syntax, basic grammar and numbers before ...

Re: Sign Language Talk!

Well, I'll preface this by saying that I'm no expert at Sign Language. I've learned a decent bit, and researched the subject, and spoken to people MUCH more familiar with it, but I can't in good conscience call myself an authority on the matter. That being said, let's move on. Contrary to Numb's as...

Re: Sign Language Talk!

Very good read! Thanks for such a good reply. Unfortunantly i have no other reason to use it aside from giving me something to do such as : Signing things while i speak to people just for something to do with my hands--- or signing things my teacher says just for something to do when im really bored...

Re: Sign Language Talk!

Mouthing the words? What about the people who were deaf from birth? It'd be useless to mouth words they don't understand right? Then again im sure they pick up lip reading after awhile regardless of not being able to hear the sound produced. Gosh i feel so uneducated in this subject. Don't worry, i...
