Re: After The Dream—MAIN INDEX (and secret Hisao arc)

The chronology has always been difficult for me, what with flashbacks and all. Misha1 actually starts after Lilly leaves in late 2007, but is written in early 2008. It gets worse elsewhere, I think. Thanks for reminding me that I really should figure out what to do with all that. :) The good ol' Br...

Re: To Miss the Mark - An OC Pseudo-Route (Hitomi)

I have to agree with Nuke about being unsure about Hisao’s thoughts - though rather than being boring, it’s more that they are perhaps a bit static. Hisao’s moping, (especially in the line Nuke quoted), is consistent. I expect that’s why Nuke finds it uninteresting, because there doesn’t appear to b...

Re: PsychicSpy's Oneshot Thread (9/29/20 Update)

Agreed! It was a charming little story, I didn’t know there was another contest? Anyway, it was nice! Other than some awkward phrases, and few places where a word has clearly been omitted, it was technically sound too! :)

Next time send it to me for a proofreading pass though! ;)

Re: COM(promise) - A Miki Route (Updated Sep 26th, 2020)

A nice little updates. Of course, the greater shadows still loom. I like Rokuro, like a mini- Hisao. And actually it was really interesting reading your little note after the update, I didn’t know the consensus on cpr had changed!

Re: To Miss the Mark - An OC Pseudo-Route (Hitomi)

It's a good thing I'm commenting now, rather then when you first started as I initially planned too. I don't need to give the usual warnings and welcomes, your writing surpasses most in technical ability, but I fear that sounds as If I'm accusing your writing of being somewhat 'impassionate'. That i...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20200907 Another Omake Scene)

Quite an enjoyable read. Bry is right about the colours of this story, it’s actually really quite evocative. I don’t mind super rich Lilly as a concept that much, so honestly, this is an alround good read for me. Though a bit flowery at times.

Quite humorous seeing Aura and Cruds comments.

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20200824 Zade Wither)

I can never read stories like this without thinking back to the wonderful Munchenhausen’s “Josh-San.”

That being said, I’d love to get a beer with Zade. Him and Kenji seem like two really chill and down to earth guys, and I bet they’d be a pleasure to drink with.

Re: Alt Dreams [One-Shots] (#67—'A Bear Discovers Salt')

It always amazes me how your Jigoro can be both profoundly an impatient ass, and well, profound. That last line is oddly inspiring, (doubly so for readers who are familiar with your Jigoro!) As always, your SPAG is impeccable, and your mastery of the form is awe-inspiring. The lines drip with humour...

Re: Beauty and Other Stories by Scramblers and Shadows

Well, delightfully slice of life - not in such a way that it’s a piece of life to enjoy and ultimately meaningless, but in the way that I think we all have these “slices of life” in our own worlds. Rika’s frustration, whilst I think coming across a bit suddenly (Hell, I can’t expect everyone to writ...

Re: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Oneshot thread)

A delightful read. The flashback was a good moment, and helped to split up the Jigoro scenes so it wouldn’t send so obvious he changed, but really, I get the impression he was going to say yes even from the first scene. I think Jigoro opening up was a little hamfisted, but it’s a good premise I have...

Re: Hold my Mind - Main Thread

Welcome to the forums! Always good to see some new faces here! As always, first port of call for a new writer should be the 'Tips of Fanfic Writers' thread, great information and tips in there! 3) I won't tolerate any type of offensive behaviour and comments. I'll gladly accept feedback, but not ran...

Re: Alt Dreams [One-Shots] (#66—'Contrast')

How fitting, after all our (my) talk of monuments, you should choose the same as me. Memorial services are solemn, but somehow freeing affairs. Honestly, it's Mutou's silence that speaks volumes in this story. That final paragraph touched me immensely. Somehow, with the focus being on Saki's remembr...
