Re: Ask!

I've got a general question for the devs(for the ones still checking in here at least), but how does it feel now that it's been this long since KS was made. Does it still resurface in your mind/life these days, or is it mostly forgotten as a long past project you've worked on. It's something I feel...

Re: Ask!

Weirdly enough I just recently agreed to dip like, a single toe back into VN writing, but only because 1. It's an extremely small contribution 2. I know the guy doing it, and he knows I am awful at deadlines so he already knows what he's getting into 3. The request is interesting to me, personally, ...

I was in my third year of college.

If anyone needs me I'll be over in the corner crumbling into a skeleton like the dude who drank from the wrong goblet in Last Crusade.

Well!

This was pleasantly depressing. Or depressingly pleasant.

Or a pretty good prelude to the epilogue I wrote, once upon a time. This is, as it turns out, multiple things at once! Sweet and sad and delightful.

The unrelenting march of time has erased most of the details from my brain, unfortunately. It suffices to say that, as I've said on this very forum at...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20190520 Overdrive)

You know, I always did get jealous of how well Silentcook wrote everyone. I said, often, that he probably should've written Emi's path and not me - although he was my editor for the duration and put up with me in a way nobody really should have. Misha in this is perhaps her most tragic. Also probabl...

Yeah it's great that Steam would host our game, but it would cost money and also, as people have pointed out, it's not exactly hard to find as it is.

Re: Ask!

Man, what is it with people stealing laptops with KS shit on it? I am pretty sure that's where most of the early KS stuff I did went. The only thing that survived was the last like, two drafts of Emi's path.

As I touched on, it's fascinating from an academic standpoint to see it prefigure themes and conflicts from the final product (especially since thehivemind headcanons Emi as a lesbian ;)).
Incorrect! Emi is bi. Misha, on the other hand, is not.

Right, that's all. Carry on.

WopWop wrote: Tue Feb 13, 2018 6:13 pm Do you really think Hanako's route was acceptable?
Pretty sure we've answered this question before in this very thread but yes obviously if it made it into the game we thought it was good enough to be in the game.

Some folk liked it. Some folk didn't. So it goes.

Re: Hanako's route is indefensible

Well, this got stupid quick. We've discussed, at length, what our intentions were for Hanako's route. If we didn't succeed in that, well, that's on us and it's a bummer. If you think for a second that means I'm particularly invested in having y'all lob insults at one another like children and postin...

Re: Ask!

If the girls were real, how do you think they'd react to their fan bases? Hanako would freak out I guess. Shizune would appear to have it under control but would freak out privately. Lilly would be more like a "Princess Bubblegum" kind of character. "Of course I love you, but it is t...

Re: Ask!

What would Lilly's, Emi's, Rin's, and Shizune's routes look like if they were subverted instead? Were there any other kinds of fetishes or aggression that you considered to aim at them, to take advantage of their weaknesses? We decided pretty early on that we didn't feel like writing something that...
