I congratulate you. You're clearly relying on the typical dramatic structure where there has to be a lowest point before success. The Hisao x Hanako outcome will now have to come as a surprising, powerful development, overcoming improbable odds, rather than an obvious and boring continuation, and th...

Well, this is all entertaining and rather well written - I've enjoyed the earlier parts more, but still paying attention. Still, I hope you have an actual resolution in mind, and not going to go for an endless soap opera.

Nah, I just don't like pirates.

(Ninja, on the other hand, rule. Someone write a story where Hanako is a ninja.)

Re: Hanako's Story (COMPLETED 18/08/2014)

Any attempt at conversation will no doubt be doomed to failure, to stuttering and awkward silences worse than the one we'd be trying to fill. But the silence now is just as bad So would it be worse, or just as bad? Can't have both. For a marginally less frivolous observation: there are moments wher...

Re: Hanako's Story (UPDATED 10/05/2014)

Just to make sure I was clear, when I suggested more awkwardness I was thinking in terms of communication, uncertainty about whether they were on the same wavelength, correctly reading each others' signals, whether Hanako really wanted Hisao to go straight to undressing himself there etc. (Which led...

Re: Hanako's Story (UPDATED 10/05/2014)

Not a terrible chapter, but I just don't agree with the interpretation. To be sure, I like it in principle that you've been showing Hanako as a sexual creature. I really do; I remember reading some past fragments and thinking yeah, this is good, this is a Hanako we aren't directly shown in the VN, o...

Re: Hanako's Story (UPDATED 03/04/2014)

Good update! I agree with Atario (what a surprise), in that this feels appropriate - and it's interesting to see her thoughts (and, ahem, feelings and desires) fleshed out beyond what she makes blatantly obvious to Hisao. That's kind of the point of writing from her POV.

If he's more into physics than chemistry, he might be more into the exceptionless rules thing. Seeing as it's an actual hard science. *ducks for cover*

Re: Hanako's Story (UPDATED 04/03/2014)

Honestly, it makes total sense to me that Hanako in particular would be pretty absorbed in her own mental states and processes. She alone amongst the cast has psychological therapy sessions, and she is the most self-critical and voluntarily withdrawn unto herself. I agree! I just think 1. that aspe...

Re: Hanako's Story (UPDATED 04/03/2014)

One thing that kind of bothers me about the way this is entire story written is that so much space is devoted to Hanako's psychological problems being discussed explicitely. All this talk about "mah progress" is kinda self centered and circular, and it just gets old. A character's internal...
