"Can you move past the past?" Act 1 Scene 1 Part 2 (7/11)

A little note before we begin: I tried looking up procedures where voting for class reps were concerned, and I found nothing on how long the actual process takes. In some cases, apparently the teacher just appoints a student when there doesn't seem to be a solution. In the case of this story, there ...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Iwanako Rising)

On the topic of Leaty and the ever-elusive Iwanako route, consider reading this post . That said...in the course of assembling this response, I have come up with a few ideas about what shape an Iwanako route might take that would still allow for it to take place at Yamaku. I would probably start wi...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Iwanako Rising)

And really, who even wants to write an Iwanako fic now? I sure as hell don't. That's like trying to write a contemporary fantasy piece on the same board as JK Rowling: you might be great, but comparisons will be drawn, and you will fail. *shyly raises hand* Actually, it's because of Leaty that I ha...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (Iwanako Rising)

Iwanako has always been an intriguing subject for me, just because there's plenty of room to establish a world for her. And, being the cause of Hisao's first heart attack, I can imagine things weren't exactly easy for her shortly after the events of the prologue. I know this may be extremely off-top...

Oooh, right. I'll have to fix that.

06-24-2015 EDIT: Fixed the issue. I'd have done it sooner, but I had a shift at work, and I thought I'd check the replies on this thread before heading out.

Re: "Can you move past the past?" -- Updated (6/22)

It's never explicitly explained when Lilly and Shizune had their falling out and Lilly left the student council (at least, not to my recollection), just that it happened. It's just hinted at that it happened before Hisao came to Yamaku. That being the case (at least in this story's 'verse), it happe...

"Can you move past the past?" Act 1 Scene 1 Part 1

Act 01 Scene 01 -- Part 01 ***** My alarm blared in my ears. I groaned in annoyance and opened my eye, my vision half-obscured by pillow. 7:00 a.m. Groaning, I shuffled my sore body up to a sitting position and slapped at the alarm button, missing and hitting my fingers on the edge of the nightstan...

Re: The Benefit of Hindsight (updated 6/17!)

Yeesh, dude. Way to keep me hooked. First my OTP had a falling out and now Lilly and Hanako? I should hate you for wrecking my OTP and BrOTP, but I shall reserve my hatred for you until it is all explained. If it is done well, perhaps I will not hate you. I actually don't. I'm jealous because you're...

Re: "Can you move past the past?" -- Updated (6/14)

Thank you for adding those links, especially the first one. I don't know how I didn't find that one on a Google search. It's not much in the way of additional research, but I (tried) to go a few days with one eye shut/covered. I wanted to experience for myself what it would be like. Simply put, it w...

Re: "Can you move past the past?" Prologue Scene 4

Prologue Scene 04 -- Leaving Behind ***** My brother led me across the campus to one of the smaller buildings. [Mom and I need to go to the administrative building,] he signed to me. [You and the others can start taking your things up to your room while I get your key.] I blew a breath out through ...

Re: Blue Haired Girls

Nice.

I will not request any type of Suzune, though I like the implications of it here.

I know. I'm a perv, but I could see Shizune teasing Suzu to no end about it.

About the next update...

I actually had all four parts of the prologue done before I even considered posting here. I just don't want to upload it right away. It's weird, but I want to keep about two sections ahead of an update. I'm still writing Act 1 Scene 1, so it might be a bit.

Re: "Can you move past the past?" -- Updated (6/10)

I do agree that, upon closer analysis, Kensuke's rant at Ryou is more than a little unreasonable, and that Ryou losing an eye is definitely heavier than what his friends have to put up with. When I was writing this chapter, I wanted Ryou to hit some type of rock bottom. He lost an eye, and now his f...

Re: "Can you move past the past?" -- Updated (6/10)

“The only one who is at fault is your father,” she said sadly, “as well as my own. What does his grandfather have to do with it? :D I re-read that line three times when I was editing the chapter before I put it up, and I thought there was nothing wrong with it. I actually have to thank you for poin...

"Can you move past the past?" Prologue Scene 3

Thanks, everyone, for the support and comments. I've been writing for a very long time, and I don't think I've ever gotten support like this. Prologue Scene 03 -- Facing Forward ***** The sound of knocking woke me up. I looked in the direction of the digital clock, my vision slowly clearing, ...
