For those of you who think my Kenji arc isn't realistic, this article on Kenji's sister agency (the one to which two of his friends transfer) is timely. 
It's just like any other national agency. The ones in the UK and US certainly do carry out public recruitment, and have done so for a long time—but this is new to Japan.

Rin's granduncle was Osamu Tezuka, a famous manga artist who lived in Osaka. That's why in 'After The Dream' she retires to Osaka.

My headcanon is on the two new Student Council members, who take over presidency after Shizune, Misha and Hisao graduate.
Aoi has Chronic Sleep Disorder, making her nearly constantly tired regardless of actual sleep.
Keiko, on the other hand, had a faulty birth which resulted in perinatal brain damage. Although her brain mostly healed back to normal, it left one major side-affect. She suffers from a rare case of complete proprioception impairment.
You know how you can more-or-less estimate where your arms, legs, hands and feet are wihout looking? She can't, as a result of childhood brain damage. Moving faster than a casual pace is dangerous, she has to keep an eye on anything she's holding incase she accidentally tips it and drops it, amongst other painfully annoying idiosyncrasies.

Jigoro's beard is fake. He can't even use that katana either. It's just there to make sure nobody gets any ideas about calling out the fake beard.
