What Route Has the Most Text / Is the Longest?

In your opinion, of course. I have allowed up to 2 answers incase some thinks it is a tie between one path and another. If you have not played every path, which I hope there are at least a couple people who have, simply vote which one you think is the longest for you so far.

Lilly's is almost twice as long as everyone else's from my experience and I bet many others.

Hanako's is the shortest Id say.

If Shizune's path isn't the longest, then it at least feels that way.

For me, Rin's was the longest, mainly because I had to re-read so many lines of text from a lack of understanding.

How is this even an opinion thing

Line Count
Act 1: 7,136
Emi: 5,766
Rin: 5,590
Shizune: 4,841
Lilly: 4,791
Hanako: 4,075
Total: 32,199

Emi's felt a lot shorter then Lilly's did for some reason. Maybe because of how the scene's played out, but the winner is obvious.

Yo, Brogurt, where'd you get those stats? Frankly I'm surprised at the length of certain routes, or lack thereof. Does your source also have the wordcount? I'd be very interested in seeing that.
Cheers, BlackWaltz.

Anyway. Ignoring facts, I'd like to share my opinion.
I found Rin to be the longest, because of her variations of events.
It took me 6 hours for crying out loud XD

Holy cow. And here I was thinking either Shizune's or Lilly's was the longest. Emi's Act 2 was pretty darn long, now that I think about it.

Do bear in mind how much bad ends 'inflate' some routes, and 'deflate' others. For example: Lilly's bad end is simply the good end cut short. As a result, there's no extra bad end that needed to be written, so it'll make the overall line count seem less.

Alternatively, Rin's bad end is incredibly extensive, so would inflate hers by a fair amount. Emi's route has a lot of branching, with different ways of reaching the end goal, so will of course have more lines.

So in pure numbers, Emi's route may be the 'longest'. But when you're actually playing through it, you won't see all 5,766 lines. You may only see 3,000, while on Lilly's path you'll probably see the majority of those 4,791 lines, so Lilly's route will actually be the longer one.

Why not? Going through all the ends/paths isn't uncommon. I know I did.

Emi's "optional" path to the end isn't half her route. In fact it's really not even the majority of it. The changes mainly take place between the visit to her mothers house and just before the scene at her father's grave (basically the very end of Act 3 and the very beginning of act 4, only a couple scenes total). And during that time there isn't that much dialogue. On the "bad" path Hisao just wanders depressed a bit and Emi avoids him which hardly takes 1,000 lines. If we're talking Emi's "good" path vs Lilly's good path then I believe Emi's is still longer.

Holy shit! It took me 12 hours to complete Lilly's, and I only read everything after the decision whether to go to town or the library.

Line count seems deceptive to me... how long are the lines? Are you counting one individual text dump as a line even when it's one of Rin's whole-screen rambles or Shizune's frequent "..." replies?

Emi and Hanako's routes certainly felt significantly shorter to me than those of Lilly, Shizune and Rin.

Line count also ignored visual effects to watch before actually reading, as well as the pace of some lines. I know Shizune's route has quite ...a ...few...lines...that...are...delivered...slowly.
