Actually, I can record a midi of Friendship for you since I know it. Of course, I'll definitely echo everyone's opinion (even mine) that you should learn sheets. I used to learn songs the same way and I definitely recommend learning to read sheets any way you can!

I echo that sentiment. I taught myself to read sheet music and it wasn't terribly hard. Learn little tricks to remember the treble (top) staff lines as E, G, B, F and the bass lines as G, B, D, F, A (every good body does fine, good boys deserve fudge always is the really old saying to memorize them). The simple version of Raindrops and Puddles is still great sounding while also being easy enough to start reading from. Feel free to write the letters next to the notes and with practice it will ingrain. Then with time you will pick fast line reading stuff like remembering there are three spaces on the staff between octaves, etc etc.

#'s are the next key (usually black) to the immediate right of the note, A# = black key to the right.
b are the next key (usually black) to the left of the note, Ab = black key to the left.

There are many helpful starting out things online as I was able to learn it in a week and engrained it over next couple of months. I've been playing for about 4 years and have been able to do it through self study.

There was a link for sheets and a midi for "Comfort," but both seem to have been broken since they were posted, and I haven't seen the guy that posted them on since. I don't think there's a sheet for "Ease" yet.

I did some basic editing to make sure all the notes were fairly visible in Synthesia. If I had a slightly more advanced editor I would have even separated the left and right hands but I'm unable to do that (AFAIK it's impossible with my rudimentary software). Anyway, here's the midi for Friendship:

Download (Right Click -> Save As)

It's not 100% identical to the sheets but it sounds close enough for me to be content with it.

Has anyone played Friendship extended yet? I'd love to hear someone play it.

Thank you Joe!

I just started playing piano less than 2 months ago and I'm kinda teaching myself. So far I can play friendship decently (right hand only), but I can't really read notes fast enough yet, and hearing the actual music helps a lot.

Since Comfort seems to have been lost, and it is one of my favorite songs, I transcribed it. Here you go!

Ah, no problem, glad I could help! Keep working on learning to read, even just looking at the music while you play helps. It'll be definitely worth it in the long run.

Mirror: thanks for the transcription! I'll get a recording of that up tomorrow if I have time

No problem! I'm listening to your Youtube covers playlist right now, actually. If only you had some nicer recording equipment to match your beautiful playing =/

I suppose I'll do the Sarabande from BWV1010 next, since the music box tunes are easiest to transcribe, and I don't see music for it anywhere.

Thanks, really glad you like them! Yeah, my recording set-up is pretty bad, but this is by no means a professional project. Just glad that people like listening to them, and I thought that Sebastien's good work on the soundtrack should be played on an actual piano rather than being computer generated.

Looks like there is no need to transcribe Sarabande from BWV1010 at all, as it is public domain music. The original score can be found on the fifth page of this pdf: http://conquest.imslp.info/files/imglnk ... WV1010.pdf

I'm not a piano player, so I don't know if that score (intended for cello) is as comfortable to play as a piano player would like. If there's interest, I could probably re-arrange it to something more traditional for a piano score (separated cello and bass clef), and possibly make the bass clef part a little fuller.

In the meantime, I'm going to set my sights on piano arrangements of some of the more "ambient" songs, like School Days or Fripperies.

Instead of more difficult endeavors, I decided to knock out the very easy-to-transcribe Passing of Time first. I've done both a transcription of the original instrumentation (or as close as I could estimate it) and a translation for solo piano. I can't tell on my laptop whether the bell part is even audible in the full instrumentation MIDI export. Hopefully it's fine.

Full instrumentation MIDI:

Full instrumentation PDF:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/289764/KatawaSh ... OfTime.pdf

Piano arrangement MIDI:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/289764/KatawaSh ... _Piano.mid

Piano arrangement PDF:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/289764/KatawaSh ... _Piano.pdf

Edit: Yeah, the full arrangement MIDI sounds awful. I'll try to fix it tomorrow.

- Comfort

Sarabande is fine to play on piano written like that, but why would you want that when you can listen to ? haha
