Re: Trying to draw again.

As of now, the only thing i can think of is the facial features matter. Looking at Hanako and Lilly's illustrations, i have the feeling that the facial features are either too big or disproportionate in relation to each other. For example Lilly's mouth seems to be either too big or the corner of he...

Re: Group shot WIP

This should be the last one, I think I've addressed most of the issues raised. Emi's face has been made more dainty, Rin's head has been redrawn, Lilly's face has been redrawn, Misha's face has been made rounder and her mouth smaller, Hisao's mouth has been made less gregarious, his tie had been nar...

Believe it or not, that's the first thing I tried after reading your comment. I'm on the fence about it, but once I've made the edits according to the feedback I've received, I'd love to see if you think they helped.

Re: Group shot WIP

I dunno, I really kinda like it. The only face that really seems off to me is Lilly's. Her expression just seems strange. It's driving me crazy! I don't get anime style profiles at all, and I was hoping that was good enough, but I'll have to do some research, or just do the profile the way I would....

Re: Group shot WIP

First off, it's really really awesome looking. I just want to say that. Thanks! Rin's proportions seems off. The way she's draw, she seems to have really broad shoulders and a short neck. While her sleaves and tie give the impression of movement, her face and hair seems oddly still. You know, you'r...

Re: Group shot WIP

I tried making Hanako's smile a little smaller, and I think it helped a little, but I'm not sure. It's not about the size, it's about... I don't know, it doesn't really look like she's smiling. Curving the smile on the left should do the trick. Maybe. Or maybe I'm an idiot. That's also a possibilit...

How many of you are interested in working on games outside of this genre? Would writing for other game types suit you, do you think?

Re: Group shot WIP

Okay, I did my best with Emi, I noticed that making her face any narrower made the angle look funny, so I think this is the bast it will be until I paint it. I tried making Hanako's smile a little smaller, and I think it helped a little, but I'm not sure.

Re: Group shot WIP

I see what you're saying about Emi, your edit makes it pretty obvious that I should draw in more hair on her left side, or her ear should be visible. I'm not sure I really get what you mean about Hanako, is it her eyes that seem off to you? I'll try adding pupils and see what I think. I think your e...

Re: A few simple sketches

At this angle, believe it or not, I think it would look more natural if the overlap of their lips were less exaggerated. The angle of Hisao's face implies that Hanako is facing slightly away from the viewer. You could benefit from making more confident, flourished strokes. Hisao's hair, for example,...

Look back a bit to my exchange with Xanatos, he did a pretty good job of convincing me. I still think that much of the time, he acted reasonably, or at least had the option to, but sometimes he does get hit with the idiot stick.

Re: Dissapointed with Hanako's Arc

Ok, to sum up some of the previous talking points: It was said that Hisao is a teenager and that in that moment acted out of impulse and hormones/horniness. He got rather nervous when he realized the significance of what Hanako was doing (you can read how shocked he is when Hanako asks him to close...

Re: Group shot WIP

Aside from Hisao's mouth (weird shape/expression), Emi's and Misha's chins (too squary) there's nothing wrong with it. Oh wait. Hanako's smile is unusually impish. Don't know if whether it was intentional or not. Miki looks absolutely fantastic. Thank you, I'll work on Hisao and Misha. I was trying...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout

Walrusfella, thank you for responding. Just hearing someone else get excited about it is having an effect on me, but for you to be so detailed in your response helps me a great deal. It's weird, I used to love running, but when I started university, I just stopped, and the old motivation is gone. I'...
