Well yeah but do girls get bum hair? I... I d-don't... I have n-never thought about this. Do girls get arse hair? Before this becomes a thing, I'll nipsy it in the butt. YES THEY DO. Some have a lot, some don't have any, some have a little bit. I am violating the sacred "no personal anecdotes&...

You don't even have to stick your dick in to get some of that... I am currently on the receiving end of crazy from a girl who told me I was a bad friend, removed me on Facebook and does not and will not remember doing either of these things. It's not the first time either so I am not responding. The...

Re: Emi inspired running/workout
Well, I've signed up for a year's gym membership. I can't believe it either. I have a few sessions with a personal trainer to work out what I need to do to achieve my goals (I want to build strength, especially back, chest, abs and arms) and then I can use any of the chain's gyms and facilities when...

I'd certainly buy you a drink after hearing that, though.azumeow wrote:

Re: Random KS Discussion
That would've been interesting. They did do an episode where Data had to step into Misha's drills and learn sign language, though. I remember that episode very well - the most memorable lesson for me was to remember to look at and address the person, not the interpreter (Riva yells this at Picard) ...

Re: Random KS Discussion
No, it doesn't give him full vision. It beats blindness, but it's not vision as we know it. Meh. Seems like a writer-imposed technological flaw. An instrument which could render vision in a greater spectrum than a natural one would surely be able to render the lesser, natural one (particularly cons...

Re: Deaf Rap
Could the difference between the two be due to the linguistic differences between English and ASL? Yes. I'm not fluent in ASL, but there is a difference between the two in the videos - it's not a literal translation so much as an interpretation of the lyrics. That's generally how it works anyway. I...

Working link to the Sean Forbes video:
It's a welcome change from ASL students trying to gloss their favourite songs.
I'm getting one thing in English and something else in ASL, which is a weird feeling not unlike when there's an interpreter present.

Re: Random KS Discussion
That was one of TNGs weaker episodes, haha. Still, Geordi was blind from birth, so the Visor vision was all he had known. It's probably safe to assume he was overwhelmed by the new experience and a bit unsettled by the circumstances regarding it, so he chose to go back to what was "normal"...

Re: Random KS Discussion
I forgot: internet, no subtlety is allowed. Since you described his Q-powers-generated natural eyesight as "full color", I thought you were thinking VISOR vision was just a somewhat crappy substitute. One might assume natural-eyesight mode would be a setting on that thing, but being an en...

Re: Random KS Discussion
We see that the VISOR makes everything look like bad visual effects from a 1980s music video. I got the impression that was how it rendered all the extravisible wavelengths and weird particles and such. I forgot: internet, no subtlety is allowed. The VISOR is far more useful than normal human eyesi...

Re: Random KS Discussion
In the past, we've had discussions on the role of technological compensation for disabilities. If our KS main characters survived into the 2020s, there's a great chance they'd mostly be able to 'fix' their disabilities (should they even wish to, which isn't a given for those who, for example, have ...

Re: Waitaminute... Misha HAS to be bisexual.
We know that Shizune used to tease her about her long hair, and she's constantly putting up a front so people will notice them both. Maybe she was going out of her way to try to be MORE attractive to Shizune rather than just trying to get over it . That's actually a very good point. Sidestepping th...
