Re: Misha's disabillity?
So, the more I ponder Misha, the more I keep getting drawn back to my original conclusion of epilepsy - or at least, something that manifests itself in a similar way. To be honest, it started off as a wild guess beased on the fact that my brother has a bunch of disabilities, but it's the invisible o...

Re: Commentary about each music track (as promised)
Whenever I try to critique music, I always think of my girlfriend, a professional musician, and how she'd be doing it much better because she, y'know, knows what she's talking about... My main comment is just that I really like Parity. Very late period Beatles-y and it fits Rin's personality very we...

Re: Why does Hanako attend Yamaku?
Actually, now that you mention it... That line about the girl missing a thumb made me raise an eyebrow. Because... that's pretty minor. Hell, there was a girl in my class at school who was missing an entire hand. Nobody thought of her as disabled, and in the five years I knew her, I can recall it be...

Re: Misha's disabillity?
It's a blood disorder that results in anaemia. Misha doesn't strike me as the anaemic type, but maybe that's the point...

Re: Favorite girl.
What, no Akira option? Awwww... Anyway, I'm pretty much decided that Rin is my favourite. What's not to like about her? Second place is hotly contested between Misha and Hanako. I'll admit I started the game with a bit of a downer on Hanako, since she looked as if she'd fall too close to the Rei Aya...

Re: Really really REALLY dumb questions
It's irony. If a girl can't express irony through her choice of panties, what does she have left?

Re: one-use magic wand.a mental experiment
Now that I think about it, we don't know any of the girls all that well, do we? If they did have any inner sadness about their predicanemnts, it's not like they'd have told the main character yet. If this is going to be the case with any character, I'd picture it being either Shizune or Lilly. Where...

Re: Why does Hanako attend Yamaku?
Agreed with the above post. Hanako isn't physically disabled, and although she suffers from psychological trauma, she's not mentally disabled either. So even if Yamaku did accept mentally disabled students, we'd still likely be having this debate, because what Hanako has is no more a mental disabili...

Re: Really really REALLY dumb questions
For some reason, I'm worried that by the time the sex scenes roll around, all of the characterization and any morals or dignity the characters once held will be dropped and smutty shit will happen like Akira having sex with Hisao to make sure he was "good enough" for Lilly...that's not go...

Re: one-use magic wand.a mental experiment
I was thinking the exact same thing. I mean, in terms of sheer physical disadvantage, Rin would seem to be the worst off, since there are some essential things she just can't do by herself. That said, she doesn't seem overly fussed by her disability, and the same is true of most of the other girls. ...

Re: Katawa Shoujo Act 1 Preview feedback thread
I really can't praise this game enough. It surpassed every expectation I had. A few minor quibbles, though, in order of nitpickiness... Nitpicky! I think it's been mentioned before, but some of the dialogue choices were kind of misleading. I think the best example is when you're walking back to scho...

Re: Misha's disabillity?
Working on the assumption that it has to be a physical thing that isn't immediately evident from her appearance or behaviour, I'm strongly inclined to think Misha's disability is something like epilepsy. Depending on the type and how well it's controlled, the condition might well justify her attendi...
