Re: Secret Santa 2020 - Story collection
All in all, a very cute story that is executed with style and intelligence. The Saki Act and the Rika Act both closely mirror each other… Does a great job of capturing how the same person can approach the same conversation in a wildly different way depending on who they're talking to. It's not just...

Re: A Chiasmus Through the Night – A Late, Late, S9 for Craftyatom.
This is a wonderful tale. Saved it up until AFTER I did my S10 and S11 pieces. And now, this is After Your Dream , so to speak. I like the triptych + coda structure. I like the way Hisao flails through Emi (guest starring Rin) and Lilly (guest starring Hanako). But most of all, I like the dread-fill...

Re: Iron Saki
I was just thinking the reason this piece works so well (from my perspective, anyway) is that it must be taking place in a world that is slowly being converted to a reducing atmosphere. There are sulfides, hydrogen, hydrocarbons (well, liberal use of grease, anyway), and activities that would otherw...

Re: Secret Santa 2020 - Story collection
My contribution is now up.
'Twain' was written for Retrograde. It isn't a traditional Christmas story, except that the poem that is the centrepiece of this story was always a Christmas poem to me. My mother gave it to me in a book of poems when I was kid—at Christmas.
Enjoy!

Alt Dreams [One-Shots] (#69—'Twain')
This one's a story written for the 2020 Secret Santa project initiated by ProfAllister. Victim: Retrograde Prompt: Rika and Saki being cute. Yuribait optional. (I'm sorry, this story is not that kind of story.) ===== Twain SAKI “English homework again?” Hisao groaned and raked his long fingers thro...

Re: Secret Santa 2020 - Story collection
Mirage! You managed to squeeze in cats as well, and a White Christmas, and whisky. It's a great story, with lots of back-story and allusions to various other matters. Thank you very much. Christmas has indeed come early for me! (My only sorrow comes from not having much Lilly—and indeed hardly walki...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20201207 The Ooe Way—A Natsume Fic)
You're right about 'fast'. In the last para of the first post, Hisao says, "I guess you can put what you have out..."
See, he's already encouraging the girls (yes, both of them) to put out.

Re: After The Dream—MAIN INDEX (and secret Hisao arc)
Brythain this story of yours is truly awesome. Thanks for writing it. I read the main and secondary arcs character by character a while ago so now I'm beginning a chronological read through and I'm surprised by how much it changes the experience of the story. By the way, Misha 1 (Regrets) is listed...

Rika—A Whiter Shade of Pale
The following post was written in response to Stiles Long's writing contest. Each participant was given a list of KS character pairings and a list of locations. One of each was chosen for this fic. There were a limited set of options available to participants in the contest and it may be that this ...

Re: Yamaku Book Club (20201107 Just Live)
I like the casual sleepy post-coital vibe with the deep philosophical reflection embedded in it, coupled with some true romantic dilemmas of the kind you get when you date a dying girl.
