Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Updated 2/14)

Keep it up, enjoying these updates. She seems to be quite similarly constructed to Lilly, I prefer that to themocaw's extroverted interpretation. I must be the only one who kind of liked the dark-edged, outgoing Saki then. ;_; As I mentioned, I haven't read the other route or any of Themocaw's work...

If there was, it was purely coincidental. I haven't read Tomorrow's Doom yet.

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Updated 2/14)

Yamaku does use the regular Japanese school year, and the date when Hisao arrives in Yamaku is one of the things that is actually consistent through all paths. IIrc it is June 4th 2007 - which would be two months into the year and as Miki says quite late if transfers usually occur between school ye...

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Updated 2/14)

There's no classes today,... There's a few tests this next week... "Classes" and "tests" are both plural, so this needs to be "there are" in both cases. Transferred suddenly to Yamaku a few months before the end of the third year of schooling. More like "...a coup...

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Updated 2/14)

Oh my god, definitely worth the wait. “I know it takes time to adjust. But you know what? Purposely going out of your way to treat someone like they're some sort of, I don't know, 'extra-normal' person makes them feel ten times worse, and just rubs it in that they aren't.” Her voice lowers as she g...

Without missing a beat, she responds. “Just because I wasn't there doesn't mean I wasn't busy. And besides, you should know better than to ask me to lift heavy objects by now.” She pauses for a moment, and raises an eyebrow. “You wouldn't want me to tattle on you to Shizune that you weren't giving a...

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Updated 2/14)

I wanted to deeply apologize for how late this has taken to update. The last month has been hell since Christmas. I've had issues with work not being as slow as I thought it would be, I've had to move to a new apartment, and I've injured my leg fairly badly to the point I will most likely need surge...

Re: Learning To Fly - A Saki pseudo-route (Updated 12/9)

I'm trying to get the next chapter done by the end of the year. I work as a delivery driver and we're in our biggest season right now. I'm making as much money as possible because we hit a slump after the first of the year. I don't think I'll have another day off until I take the time off for Christ...

Re: Making a VN out of Katawa shoujo fanfics!

There's also a fairly large grey area that I would think Aura and/or the other developers would have to define. I understand completely about not using anything original to the game such as sprites, music, BGs, etc. The grey area comes in with the first part of what Aura said, about trying to make i...

Gah, I hate multiquoting on BB boards. http://i.imgur.com/CpbnsCB.gif I knew you'd get a kick out of that line  Should be hyphenated as "raven-colored," but the phrasing is awkward and best changed entirely. I personally recommend "A girl with short, raven hair..." 'Raven' a...

I'm down for the Hanako figure. Where do I send the moneys. Sorry for late reply... Be prepared to s...

Re: Limits of Fanfiction - What is appropriate?

Now, that gets into... is Missing Stars (which was even originally titled Mentaru Shoujo , and it's set in a school for the mentally ill in Austria) a KS fanfic? If so, then you might as well call Katawa Shoujo merely good fanfiction of Raita's concept. There's a pretty big difference between...

Re: Limits of Fanfiction - What is appropriate?

For me, it depends. At what point does it remain fanfiction or become its own story with nearly nothing to do with the original inspiration besides character names? I've read and wrote fanfiction under different pseudonyms for years. For me you have to retain either the original setting, the persona...
