Why do people keep reviving these fics. I dont think you understand why it is generally discouraged on these forums People love feedback on their fics while and even after they finish. But a half a year/a year after they finish its stupid Ripping these back to the front page to say that you liked i...

Just discovered this and found it...very intriguing :) . I see it's been a long time since it's been updated, and hope it hasn't been altogether abandoned. The OP hasn't logged back in since almost a year ago, so its probably safe to say this is dead fic Oh, sure, but you never know. Perhaps someda...

Re: Reading Katawa Shoujo to someone else
Heh...perhaps it's a good thing I haven't worked on my Nicolas Cage voice, then :D . I got through Act 1 & 2 of Rin's arc with my friend, but she's got a nasty headcold so we've had to put off continuing. That's given me some time to see what additional fan works might be to her liking. As menti...

Re: Hanako's Story (UPDATED 11/07/2013)
Just read through this today. Excellent work. I've already marked this down as something I'm going to read to my friend that I've mentioned elsewhere once it's complete. As for chapter titles, I will have to go back and look, but I definitely remember "En Passant" -- or "in passing&qu...

Although it appears the author of this story hasn't been around these parts for a while according to their profile, I want to make sure that, should they ever return, my admiration for this story is registered. A lot of people don't like Shizune here, I know. I always liked Shizune herself, but felt...

Re: Reading Katawa Shoujo to someone else
There is actually a fan dub on the works for KS. The voices are pretty good even if a lot of people are gonna be butt-hurt that they don't match their imagined voices for the characters. Your friend might like it. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8ICJ1_NNmjpqKC0GUUkOjA *nods* Thanks for the link. ...

Re: Reading Katawa Shoujo to someone else
Decided to post my thoughts on "Sisterhood" itself, both for myself and for this series of readings, on its Fan Works thread ( http://ks.renai.us/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=6750 ), if anyone is interested. For those who care about my voicing thoughts, Miss Takawa's voice belonged to the late...

Re: Sisterhood (Hanako Epilogue) (Completed)
This was a very lovely story, and extraordinarily well-written. As I've mentioned elsewhere, I thought Hanako's Good Ending was the one that had the most potential in the whole game of leading to something permanent, so I was willing to leave it be at that point. However, after reading "Weekend...

Re: Reading Katawa Shoujo to someone else
Well, I read my friend through Shizune's arc yesterday after giving my voice a needed break on Saturday. Perhaps the most interesting part was how much more I found myself actually enjoying it than I did when I ran it for myself. I was not a fan at all on first play, and found much of it throwing me...

Re: Reading Katawa Shoujo to someone else
And, actually, I just realized -- I'm not really doing Irons for Mutou, I'm doing Paxton Whitehead. And oh yeah, topic...read the entirety of Hanako's arc yesterday. After spreading Emi's over two days, doing an entire arc in a single day was definitely draining on several levels. We started at abou...

Re: Reading Katawa Shoujo to someone else
About the voices, I think it'd be this way: Emi's is high-pitched and ringing, but not loud or annoying. I feel her voice as wooden. When she's quiet (e.g. in the moment of confession on the cemetery), the voice is childish and soft, like carved from a softer wood. Rin's voice is deep, childish and...

Re: Reading Katawa Shoujo to someone else
I wonder if giving each of the girls an accent would help. I haven't done it with this game... Actually, I realized this isn't true. I used a Japanese accent when reading Iwanako's letter. It seemed appropriate. ETA: Just finished my reading of Emi's arc. Both of us were breaking down at the end. J...
